Üçkuyular Ferry Boat Terminal – Coastline Refurbishment The title and the theme of the studio are; “De-segregating the public usages- Integrated Diversities”. Regarding to this title, a system of structures and usages are expected to be designed by the students, including the related public functions and utilities. The proposed program by the students should be adequate and fulfill the needs for publicness in the existing urban environment. The program and the designs proposed should not be contradicting the physical environment and current usages, but furthermore should be opening new horizons ni organizing every existing urban utility with the proposed ones. Students should care and bring solutions with new experiences and forms of use while developing creative ideas and designs that should possess the features which fuse differentiated pedestrian patterns and utilities. Social formations are associated with physical formations. The transitions in and between the zones in the city should be considered together with pedestrian usage with the existing functions of the buildings as forms of usage. The thematic title “desegregate” is giving reference not only to the social links but also to the physical space and physical formations which may cause to compose constructing metaphorical links in minds.

Üçkuyular Feribot Terminali – Sahil Şeridi Yenilemesi Stüdyonun adı ve konusu; “Kamusal kullanımların ayrıştırılması – Entegre Çeşitlilikler”. Bu başlıkla ilgili olarak, öğrenciler tarafından ilgili kamu işlevleri ve yardımcı programları da içeren bir yapı ve kullanım sistemi tasarlaması beklenmektedir. Öğrenciler tarafından önerilen program yeterli olmalı ve mevcut kentsel çevrede kamusallık ihtiyaçlarını karşılamalıdır. Önerilen program ve tasarımlar, fiziksel çevre ve mevcut kullanımlarla çelişmemeli, ayrıca yeni ufuklar açmalı ve mevcut her kentsel faydayı önerilenlerle organize etmelidir. Öğrenciler, farklılaşan yaya örüntülerini ve faydalarını birleştiren özelliklere sahip yaratıcı fikirler ve tasarımlar geliştirirken yeni deneyimler ve kullanım biçimleri ile ilgilenmeli ve çözümler getirmelidir. Sosyal oluşumlar fiziksel oluşumlarla ilişkilidir. Kentte bölgeler arası ve bölgeler arası geçişler, kullanım biçimleri olarak binaların mevcut işlevleri ile yaya kullanımı ile birlikte düşünülmelidir. “Ayrıştır” tematik başlığı, sadece toplumsal bağlara değil, aynı zamanda zihinlerde mecazi bağlar kurmaya neden olabilecek fiziksel mekan ve fiziksel oluşumlara da gönderme yapmaktadır.
