ARCH 1120 Basic Design in Architecture II studio consisted of a two-staged design process. In the first phase of the final project, the students chose a profession (sports[wo]man, barista, actor/actress, or photographer/NFT artist), and designed a “space capsule” for the professionalist to go for a journey to another planet of which scenario was designed by the students. In the second phase, the students were required to design a “collective space” to be built on the chosen planet (covered with either ocean, dunes, or forests), as consisting of 2 modules covering the sub-spaces for workshop and exhibition as well as providing sensory experience in the new natural environment.
ARCH 1120 Mimarlıkta Temel Tasarım II stüdyosu iki aşamalı bir tasarım sürecinden oluştu. Final projesinin ilk aşamasında öğrenciler, bir meslek (sporcu, barista, oyuncu veya fotoğrafçı/NFT sanatçısı) seçip, bu profesyonelin, senaryosu yine öğrenciler tarafından tasarlanan başka bir gezegene seyahat edebilmesi için bir “uzay kapsülü” tasarladılar. Takip eden aşamada ise, öğrenciler, seçtikleri gezegende (okyanus, kum tepeleri veya ormanlarla kaplı) yeni doğal ortamda duyusal deneyim sağlamanın yanı sıra atölye ve sergi işleviyle hizmet verecek iki alt mekândan oluşan bir “kolektif mekân” projesi geliştirdiler.
