Making a [Difference]

Masters students from Yasar University and Umea University (Sweden) Faculty of Architecture have joined forces to ‘make a difference’ under the guidance of Prof. Dr. Meltem O. Gurel (Yasar University), Robert Mull (Brighton University), Amalia Katopodis (Umea University) and Sangram Shirke’in (Umea University). Students have designed small architectural interventions for the living spaces of Syrian refugees and low-income Turkish groups in Basmane and Torbali. This exhibition is an opportunity for them to share their designs with the refugees at the heart of the project, and draw attention to migration, a topical global issue, through the medium of architecture.
