This project has focused on the task of designing a research and exhibition center for the Temple of Artemis, in Selçuk, İzmir. This center has been expected to provide both researchers with a place for studying the Temple and the visitors with different forms of presentations of its story in an interactive format. Due to the location of the site at the center of Selçuk, the students have been asked to approach the integrity of the context diligently. The design proposals have been expected to include study and archive areas for the research purposes, exhibition areas, meeting and socialization spaces for both researchers and visitors in open, semi-open, and closed environments.
Bu proje, İzmir Selçuk’ta bulunan Artemis Tapınağı için bir araştırma ve sergi merkezi tasarlama görevine odaklanmıştır. Bu merkezin hem araştırmacılara Tapınağı incelemesi için bir yer hem de ziyaretçilere hikayesinin farklı sunumlarını interaktif bir formatta sunması bekleniyor. Alanın Selçuk’un merkezinde olması nedeniyle öğrencilerden bağlam bütünlüğüne özenle yaklaşmaları istenmiştir. Tasarım önerilerinin açık, yarı açık ve kapalı ortamlarda araştırma amaçlı çalışma ve arşiv alanları, sergi alanları, hem araştırmacılar hem de ziyaretçiler için toplantı ve sosyalleşme alanlarını içermesi bekleniyor.
